WORKFORCE PERSPECTIVE

Start with the work. Include the people.

A practical way to discuss AI, changing tasks, and new opportunities.

Make the work visible

Map the tasks in one workflow. Include the judgment, relationships, exceptions, and coordination that are easy to miss in a process diagram. Ask the people doing the work to review the map.

Explore changes one task at a time

Consider where AI could assist a person, where a bounded task might be automated, and where human judgment is essential. Technical capability alone does not establish whether a change is useful or appropriate.

Make learning part of the transition

Give people time, tools, feedback, and a real problem to practice on. Define the skills a changed workflow needs and the opportunities those skills can open. Invite concerns and make the decision process understandable.

Use evidence carefully

Occupational exposure describes the potential for technology to affect tasks. It does not predict what will happen to an individual’s job. Thinkerland’s assessment supports learning and organizational planning; it is not an employee ranking or job-loss prediction.
